Bonnie Heth dies Monday

Funeral service for Bonnie Heth, 42, former Lusk resident, will be held at Peet Mortuary Chapel this Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. Mrs. Heth, a native of Lusk, had been living and working in Williston, N. D. for about a year. She died Monday afternoon from injuries sustained in a car accident Sunday morning.

Bonnie Lorriaine Heth

Memorial service for former Lusk resident Bonnie Heth was held last Friday, Sept. 4, at Peet Mortuary Chapel. The Rev. Lawrence Kelley officiated.

Bonnie Lorraine Heth was born March 14, 1938, in Lusk and died August 31 from injuries sustained in a car accident in Williston, N.D. She was the daughter of Scott and Esther Sides.

Mrs. Heth grew up on her parents' ranch about 20 miles north of Lance Creek and attended county grade schools. She attended two years of high school in Manville and graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1956. On October 6, 1956, she married to Rex L. Heth at Scottsbluff. They were the parents of seven children.

She was a member of the Baptist Church, was a Cub Scout den mother for three years and participated in bowling for ten years. She also distributed the Casper Star Tribune for ten years and after her children left home, went to work as a nurse's aid at Niobrara Memorial Hospital. In 1979, she passed a nurse's assistant course and moved to Williston to enroll in a nursing program.

Marilyn Pennington played the organ and Patti Pennington sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Active pallbearers were Dave Andre, Gale Prell, Grant Ward, Milton Himes, Dan Goddard and Lee Hales. Honorary bearers were John Goddard, Buster Penfield, Bernard Kaper, Bill Hales, Bill Haworth and Howard Conley.

Mrs. Heth was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Scott; her father Scott Sides, two sisters Evelyn and Myra Lee and one grandson. She is survived by her husband Rex; three sons, Loren, Robert and David; three daughters, Roxie Haworth, Kathy Gibson and Pam Heth, all of Lusk; her mother Esther Selby, Lusk; three sisters, Marie Ward, Lance Creek, Carrie Jean Prell, Douglas and Normadean Andre of Williston; and six grandchildren.

Interment was in Lusk Cemetery. A coffee followed at the Lusk Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Niobrara Memorial Hospital.
