Cecil Hester dies at Rapid
Funeral service for Cecil Elmer Hester, who died at Rapid City regional Hospital on Friday evening was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Kinkade Funeral Chapel in Sturgis, S. D., with Rev. Jerry D. Rott of Gillette, Wyo., officiating and burial in the Whitewood Cemetery.
Cecil Hester was born on April 20, 1895, to Virgil and Myrtle Hester at Harrison. He was married to Almida Lushbough on Aug. 15, 1931, in Chadron. After 60 years of carpentry in Nebraska and South Dakota he and his wife retired in Whitewood in 1970 where they have lived since.
Survivors include his wife of Whitewood, and four sons, Eugene of Denver, Elbert of Whitewood, John of Gillette, Wyo., and Jim of Cutbank, Mont. and 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and one daughter.
