Funeral services for Grace Elizabeth Hall, 98, will be held Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1991, at the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson's Funeral Home in Lander, Wyo., at 10 a.m. with Mel Ashby of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in the Harrison Cemetery with graveside services on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m.

Hall was born July 28, 1893, to Lucas Tipton Newman and Martha C. (Fleming) Newman in Harrison, Neb. She died Monday, Sept. 16, 1991, at Westward Heights Nursing Home in Lander.

She attended school in Harrison, Neb. She also attended Chadron State Teachers College, and taught in a little country school in Harrison for some years. She married Marvin L. Howard in 1914 in Harrison. He died in 1933. She married Frank Hall in 1945 in Lusk, Wyo. He died in 1973.

She moved to Lander in 1940. Her husband, Frank, was a carpenter and she was a housewife.

Survivors include one son, Dale Howard of Lander. She is also survived by four nieces, including Ruth Harting of Lander, whom she raised from infancy; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, three brothers and two sons.

Note: Information from other family members and gravestones indicate that her father was Newman Lucas Tipton, therefore her maiden name was changed from the information in this obituary.
