Memorial services for Gerald R. Hineman, 82, of Douglas were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Christ Episcopal Church, with Father Tony Bullman officiating. Interment of cremains will be in the Douglas Park Cemetery.
Mr. Hineman died Feb. 10, 1990, at Michael Manor in Douglas after a long illness. He was born Jan. 29, 1908, at Tomah, Wis., the son of Ralph and Emma (Pingel) Hineman. He grew up and attended school in Wisconsin.
He moved from Wisconsin to Omaha, Neb., and in 1924 moved to Wyoming, where he homesteaded north of Douglas. He also worked in the coal mines in Converse County.
On Nov. 1, 1942, he was married to Tonette Hausen at Douglas. After their marriage he worked as a mechanic and ranch hand, and retired from Converse County Road and Bridge in 1973.
Mr. Hineman was a member of I.O.O.F. Lodge and Christ Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Tonette, of Douglas; four sons, Russell, Wesley and Dana Hineman, all of Douglas, and Allen Hineman of Lusk; one daughter, Laura Hineman of Grafton, Va.; one sister, Gertrude Curtman of Sunrise Beach, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ward, six brothers and one sister.
