Services for Nedra Genevieve Hamar, 53, were conducted Saturday, March 21, 1992, at Memorial Chapel in Casper by Rev. Leslie Barnett of First United Methodist Church.
Hamar died March 19, 1992, at the Wyoming Medical Center. She was born Feb. 24, 1939, in Hyannis, Neb., the daughter of Willard and Edna Pearl (Whitcomb) Carpenter. She grew up and was educated in Sioux County, Neb. She lived in Edgerton until moving to Casper in 1970.
On May 15, 1977, she married Max Hamar in Las Vegas, Nev.
She enjoyed boating, fishing and traveling and arts and crafts.
She was employed as a warehouse person for the Glenrock Coal Company.
In addition to her husband of Casper and her mother of Kimball, Neb., survivors include three sons; Roy, Rusty and Ryan Moyer all of Casper; a stepdaughter, Yolanda Gavin of Evanston and two stepsons, Randy Hamar of Dallas, Texas and Mike Hamar of Cody.
Also surviving are two brothers, Cyril Carpenter of Parker, Colo., and Frank Carpenter of Virginia Beach, Va.; and three sisters, Norma Stolz of Woodstock, Ill., Nadine Ellicott of Harrison, Neb., and Nancy Carpenter of Scottsbluff, Neb. A half sister, Twila Davis of Quitman, Texas, 10 grandchildren and numerous other relatives also survive.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1980 and a half brother, Dale Carpenter.
Graveside services were conducted Monday, March 23, 1992, in Whitman, Neb.
Memorial Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
