Herbert "Bert" Henton
Bert Henton Killed in Crash
Bert Henton, former gas plant and field superintendent for the Ohio Oil Company at Lance Creek, now retired, was fatally injured in an auto accident at Sapulpa, Oklahoma, last Friday, and died there Saturday. Mrs. Henton was seriously injured, and at the latest report Tuesday was still in a very critical condition.
Dale Henton, a son, living at Lance Creek, left Saturday for Sapulpa.
Details of the accident are meager. Mr. Henton was retired from the Ohio Oil Company last June, and it is presumed he was on a vacation trip. He was transferred in 1936 from Lance Creek to Bakersfield, Calif.
In phoning home Tuesday, Dale Henton said that a sister from Bakersfield was with him and that his father's body would be shipped to Bakersfield for interment.
Just last January 11, a son, Russell Henton, died at Bakersfield.
