Kayo Henritze Funeral Held In Loveland

Funeral services for Carrol Dee "Kayo" Henritze were conducted at the Kibbey Funeral Chapel in Loveland, Colo., on Friday, July 23, at two o'clock in the afternoon, with the Rev. Glenn Brown officiating.

Henritze was fatally injured in a one car accident near Loveland on Tuesday morning, July 20.

Terry Klindt, Torrington, and Nola Klindt, Ella Rogers and Judy Smith, Lusk, attended the services.

Two of Henritze's school friends, formerly from Lusk, Roger Rogers, Minneapolis, Minn., and Ron Redding, Casper, flew to Loveland and served as escorts for the funeral service.

Interment was made in the Loveland Burial Park.

Henritze was born Aug. 25, 1944, in Denver. When he was quite small, he moved with his family to Van Tassell, where his father Bill Henritze ran the "Buckaroo". He attended the primary grades in Van Tassell, and then moved to Lusk, when the older Henritze served as the manager of Safeway. In 1960 the family moved to Casper and he graduated from Natrona County High School in 1962.

In 1966 Henritze married Dena Wiggins and the young couple lived in Laramie for several years while he was attending the University of Wyoming. Thru correspondence study after moving to Loveland he received a B.A. degree.

Henritze was employed by the Washington State Apple Commission and part-time by Albertson's Store. While making a business trip a few weeks ago, he and his family stopped in Lusk and visited in the Herb Klindt and Harold Rogers homes.

Henritze is survived by his widow Dena, two daughters, Tammie, 7 and Amber, 3, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Bill Henritze, Dardenelle, Ark.; two brothers, Jerry of South Glenn, Colo. and Leonard of Phoenix, Ariz. and a sister Sandra (Mrs. Terry) Ray, El Paso, Texas.
