Interment services for William P. Fisher, 88, of Roseville, Calif., were held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, Calif.
William Fisher died June 27, 2002 in Roseville, Calif.
He was born to George and Verona (Hauser) Fisher, Aug. 2, 1913, in Lusk, Wyoming.
He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Army in 1945, and was an early member of the San Francisco Newspaper Guild. He worked as a librarian for the San Francisco Call Bulletin; he later worked as a technician for Ampex in Redwood City for 20 years.
He was a member of I. A. M. local # 1327 and the B.P.O.E. # 2248 of Roseville.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Catherine J. Fisher; sons Paul J. of Gilroy, Calif.; and Gregory K. of Salem, Ore.; daughters Christina A. Fong of Sacramento and Margaret D. Fisher of Hertford, N.C.; grandchildren Arin and Drew Jacobi, Donna and Karen Fong and Leslie C. Fisher.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made in his name to the St. Clare Building Fund.
