Fern Louise Heckman
Fern Louise Heckman was born August 19, 1926 at Lingle, the daughter of William and Rosa Bandemer. She died June 16, 1983 in Lusk.
She attended school in Goshen County and grew to womanhood at Lingle. On December 26, 1945 she was married to Victor Heckman at Scottsbluff, Nebr. They lived in Torrington until 1959 when they moved to Denver, Colo.
In 1961, they moved to Lance Creek and in 1965 came to Lusk to make their home. Mrs. Heckman had been employed by the Brillharts at the Southside and Fireside Cafes since 1966.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Victor of Lusk; one daughter, Frances Kant of Lance Creek; two sons, Harold of Glenrock and Randy, stationed with the U.S. Army in Hawaii; two brothers, John Bandemer of Lyman, Nebr. and Leo Bandemer of Torrington; three grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Services were held at the Mortuary Chapel in Lusk Mon.; June 20 with Rev. Frank Blish officiating. Organist Rose Kremer accompanied Betty Oehlert with, "The Lord's Prayer," "What a Friend We have in Jesus" and "Nearer My God to thee."
Pallbearers were Vern Modine, Chuck Smith, George Dixon, Norman Brillhart, Merle Oehlert and Richard Schnorenberg.
Interment was at Lusk Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
Arrangements were made by Peet Mortuary.
