Services for Naomi Ruth Hartshorn, 67, of Niwot, Colo., were held Oct. 4 at Howe Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Tom Coffan of East Boulder Baptist Church officiating. Burial was at the Foothills Gardens of Memory in Longmont, Colo.
Mrs. Hartshorn died at her home on Sept. 29, 1999.
She was born in Denver on July 16, 1932, the daughter of Ernest Painter and Alpha Mae (Cunningham) Painter.
She was raised in Morrill, Kan., and graduated from Morrill High School in 1958. She had hoped to attend her 50th reunion set for the summer of 2000. On Sept. 14, 1956, she married Allan Lee Hartshorn, and the couple moved to Longmont in 1967.
Mrs. Hartshorn worked in food service for the St. Vrain Valley School District for more than 25 years, retiring in June 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Hartshorn.
Survivors include her husband Allan Hartshorn of Niwot; a son, David Hartshorn of Dublin, Calif.; three daughters, Janet Hartshorn of Niwot, Valerie Peterson of Lusk, and Cynthia Langseth of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two brothers, Walter Painter of Sabetha, Kan., and Phillip Painter of Boring, Ore.; two sisters, June Currie of Topeka, Kan., and Sylvia Landard of Merriam, Kan.; and six grandchildren.
