Charlotte A. Hart, 81, died Saturday, August 5, 2000, at the Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow, Mont., of natural causes.
She was born September 14, 1918, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Harry and Anna Garner Wood. She was raised and attended schools in St. Paul, Minn.
She married Don S. Hart on November 2, 1945, in St. Paul. They moved to Wolf Point, Mont., in 1954, and to Glasgow, Mont. In 1955, where she has resided since. She worked at Ben Franklins and later at Torks Drug and Valley Drug for many years. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles and latch hook sewing. She was a member of the St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in June of 1966, and a son, Pat, who died in March of 1967.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Carter of Missoula, Mont.; one son, Mike Hart of Casper; sisters Gerry Knutson of Egan, Minn. and Betty Chambers of North St. Paul, Minn.; five grandchildren, Bret Carter of Seattle, Angie Carter of Tucson, Ariz.; Kari Yeaman of Douglas, Michele Valant of Montrose, Colo., and Erin Bennick of Fairbanks, Alaska; and three great-grandchildren, Gaige, Kaden and Michael Jeffrey.
Funeral services were held Aug. 9 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Glasgow, Mont., with the Rev. Martin Mock officiating. Burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Bell Mortuary of Glasgow, Mont., was in charge of arrangements.
