Tom Harding, Former Lusk Resident, Dies
Tom Donivan Harding, 61, died of injuries sustained in a fall in Douglas August 30. Mr. Harding was painting, lost his balance and fill from a ladder.
Funeral service was being held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Mortuary in Lusk. Reverend Fred Bolinger pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mrs. Judson Watson, organist accompanied singers, Mrs. Edna DeCastro and Mrs. Alex Miller, as they sang "Going Down the Valley" and "Old Rugged Cross".
Casket bearers were Harold Martin, Leo Mathews, Jim Stratton, Milton Himes, Abel Santillanes and Blackie Blackman.
Tom Harding was born August 14, 1910, at Morrill, Nebr., to Mr. and Mrs. William Harding. As a young man he entered the construction field living in Sheridan. He was married to Nona and from this union had three children Donna, Tom Jr. and Marvin. In 1944-45 he served in the Navy. He returned to construction work in Cheyenne. He married Marjorie Jeffcoat, May 23, 1964. He was employed by the Town of Lusk in 1967-69. At the time of his death he was living in Douglas. His mother-in-law is Carrie Ruda of Lusk.
Survivors are his wife, Marjorie, sons Tom Jr. and Marvin and daughter Donna, two stepsons Dale and Charles Jeffcoat and two stepdaughters Bonnie Santillanes and Barbara Delgardo and 16 grandchildren.
