Robert C. Glenn, 65, passed away December 19, 2000 at his residence in Oberlin, Kan.
Vigil Service was held Dec. 22 prior to funeral services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Revs. James Hoover & Martin Egging, Sister Marilyn Wall officiating. Interment will follow in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Glenn was born on April 17, 1935, in Haxtun, Colo., the son of Harold L. Glenn and Leona C. (Spanjer). He graduated from Haxtun High School in 1953. He served in the US Army following graduation.
Glenn married Patricia A. Janicek Jan. 4, 1958, in Kimball, Neb. The couple lived in Glenrock, Lusk, Oberlin, Kan., Kimball, Neb., then returned to Oberlin, Kan. Glenn was member of sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oberlin, and the Oberlin Country Club.
He was employed as District Manager for K.N. Energy, retired in March 1992; he also served as Decatur County Commissioner. He enjoyed golf, cooking, the Denver Broncos, and KU Basketball games in his free time.
He is survived by his wife Patricia A. Glenn, his mother Leona C. Glenn, of Oberlin, Kan., sons Bryan D. Glenn and Trudy (Kaiser), of St. Louis, Mo. and Eric J. Glenn, of Dimmitt, Tex.; one brother William (Bill) and Jan Glenn of Dimmitt, Texas; one sister JoAnn Chaney and Jerry Miles, of Newcastle, and one grandchild.
