Funeral services for Octave F. H. Hanley of Harrison, Neb., will be held March 6 at 10 a.m. at Chamberlain Chapel in Chadron with Pastor Don Mathis and Pastor Matt Parker officiating. Burial will be at Harrison cemetery.
Mr. Hanley died February 29, 2000, at his home. He was born Nov. 19, 1918, in Curley Neb., the son of James and Adda Hanley. A memorial has been established for Harrison or Crawford Ambulance Fund, Harrison Bible Church or the donor's choice.

He was affiliated with the VFW Eagles Club, Volunteer Fire Dept., Ponderosa Villa Auxiliary, 4-H leader for 20 years, Harrison Bible Church and Historical Society.
His survivors include his wife Opal of Harrison; son Martin and wife Lois of Harrison; daughters Mary and husband Maurice Bell of Harrison, Audrey and husband Holland of Vancouver, Wash., Loretta Hanley of Harrison, brothers James and wife Fran Hanley of Roseville, Calif., Robert and wife Elaine Sopher of Kissimmee, Fla., Jack and wife Dotty Sopher of National City, Calif., Joe and wife Jane Sopher of San Diego, Calif., Earl and wife Liz Sopher of San Diego, Calif., and Leo and wife Pat Sopher, Norfolk, Va.; sister Dorothy Clark of San Diego, Calif. and sister-in-law June Sopher of Marietta, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Chamberlain Chapel of Crawford is in charge of arrangements.
