Mrs. Hampton Dies in Calif.
Mrs. Mabel Hampton, widow of the late Rev. Clyde Hampton, Baptist minister and high school teacher of Lusk, died of natural causes in Mercy San Juan Hospital, Carmichael, California, on Friday, Aug. 15, and will be buried with graveside services conducted by the Rev. Clyde Thompson in Douglas, Wyo., on Saturday, Aug. 23, at 10 a.m.
Mrs. Hampton, who taught third grade for many years in the Lusk Grade School, lived in California since the death of her husband in 1958. For the past year, she had lived with her youngest son, Jerry, and his family.
Beside Jerry, her survivors include Mrs. C. D. (Jewel) Grubbs, Kemmerer, Wyo., and Clyde R. Hampton, Denver; her sister Lois Lasley of Los Angles, Calif.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
