Funeral being held for Mrs. Kathryn Giles
Funeral service for Mrs. James Giles was being held at the Peet Chapel this Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Robert Boutwell officiating. Mrs. Giles died Saturday in Denver at the American Medical Center.
Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist, was accompanying Tim Johnson singing "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Casket bearers are Glen Parmely, Dale Miller, Charlie Canfield, Melvin Davies, Richard Schnorenberg and Herbert Tadewald. Burial was to be in the Van Tassell Cemetery.
Kathryn Rose was born April 18, 1927, the daughter of George C. and Golda Bump Siebken at Van Tassell. She attended school in Van Tassell and lived at the family home near Van Tassell. In 1972 she and James Wat Giles were married at Lusk.
She is survived by the widower James Giles; two brothers, Clarence Siebken, Riverton, and Kenneth Siebken, Fort Laramie; and one sister Wyoma Robertson, Artesia, Calif.
