Jake Gellatly Passes On In Colorado; Former Resident Of Hat Creek
Jake Gellatly, former Niobrara County resident passed away on April 2nd, at Hotchkiss, Colo. The cause of his demise was said to have been from burns he received in an accident. The deceased had homesteaded in the Hat Creek community in 1917 and left in 1922 for Hotchkiss, Colo., where he had since made his home.
Survivors include three sons, Orval Gellatly, Stockton, Calif.; Harold Gellatly, Hotchkiss, Colo., Ira Gellatly, Bogue, Kansas and two daughters, Mrs. Lucille Adams of Belleflower, Calif., and Mrs. Bessie Quigel of Salina, Kans.
Orval and Harold Gellatly and Mrs. Lucille Adams were in Lusk over the week end to attend a family reunion held at the Lee Penn home.
