Floyd C. White

Floyd C. White, 90, of Sargent, Neb., passed away on Oct. 11, 2005 at the Melham Hospital in Broken Bow, Neb.

Floyd was born Dec. 6, 1914 in a sod house on Cliff Table, west of Merna to Loren and Lizzie White.

Floyd married Gaquetta Chapman in June, 1941. They moved to Washington, D. C., where he worked in the Veteran's Building. From this marriage, they had one daughter and two sons.

Floyd married Irene Olson in Dec. 1974; he worked at the sale barn and Key Villa in Sargent after he retired from farming.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife Irene, daughter Darlene Rathie of York and two sons, Harland and Everett Anselmo of Merna. He is survived by two sisters, Louise Schmidt of Merna, Neb., and Rema Lauer of Lusk, Wyo., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at the Arnold Cemetery at Arnold, Neb., with Rev. Dean Joy officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Arnold Cemetery. Arnold Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
