Services Held for Mrs. Erlewine Wed.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 2:00 p.m. in the Peet Chapel for Mrs. Ada Clair Erlewine. Rev. Jacob Nein officiated. Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro sang "In the Garden" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" accompanied by Mrs. J. P. Watson, organist.
The Silver Cliff Chapter of the American War Mothers held a memorial service following the regular service. Miss Patty Vondra sang "Crossing the Bar".
Pallbearers were Paul Morgan, Harry Carlisle, James Roberts, Ted Lohr, Harry Fernau, Jr., and Ben Wolfe. Interment was in the Van Tassell cemetery with the Peet Mortuary in charge.
Ada Clair McKinney was born May 11, 1880 at Tama, Iowa, a daughter of George and Emma (Hixon) McKinney and died November 22 at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital in Lusk. Her age was 74 years.
Her early life was spent in and around Tama and she was married to Samuel H. Erlewine November 25, 1901. The couple had seven children, five of whom survive.
The family came westward to Wyoming in 1913 and homesteaded south of Van Tassell. Here they made their home until 1930 when Mr. Erlewine died. In the latter part of that year, Mrs. Erlewine with her children moved to Lusk, where she has since resided. She made her home with her daughter, Miss Blanche Erlewine.
She is survived by one daughter, Blanche of Lusk; four sons, Glenn and Kenneth, both of Lusk, John and Jim, both of Glendo, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Ada Clair Erlewine, 74, Dies Monday
Mrs. Ada Clair Erlewine, 74, a resident of Lusk for 24 years, died Monday at the Niobrara Memorial Hospital of heart involvement following a long illness.
She was born in Tama, Iowa, May 11, 1880, the daughter of George and Emma Hixon McKinney, and was the widow of the late Samuel Erlewine.
