Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 1993, at St. Barbara's Catholic Church at Powell.

Laura Virginia Foley, 74, of Powell died Sept. 5, 1993, at the Powell Hospital.

She was born Oct. 14, 1918, at Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Fred J. and Lydia J. Boyd. When she was two, her family moved to Lusk where she grew up and attended school.

She married Edward J. Foley in Harrisburg, Neb., Nov. 2, 1945, and lived in Bayard, Neb., for several years. In 1951, she moved back to Lusk with her husband and family where they owned and operated the Merit Cleaners and Laundry.

In 1976 they moved to Powell and both worked for Park County School District #1 until their retirement in 1984.

She is survived by one son and his wife, Terry and Jane Foley, Powell; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Connie) Fernau, Lovell; Dixie Moss, Lincoln, Neb.; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held Sept. 9, 1993, at St. Barbara's Catholic Church at Powell, burial of the ashes was in Crown Hill Cemetery.

Easton Funeral Home of Powell was in charge of arrangements.
