Paul Ellis Dies Sunday of Attack
Paul Ellis of Lusk died of a heart attack Sunday. Funeral services were held from the Peet Chapel Wednesday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis moved to Lusk after he retired as general manager of the Robins Enterprises and Amusement Company in Warren, Ohio.
The Rev. Frank Bozart presided at the services. Burial was made in the Lusk Cemetery. Casketbearers were James Barrett, Roy Chamberlain, Dr. A. W. Paulsen, W. A. Taylor, C. E. Hollon, Arthur Dalgarno, Robert Templeton, Wayne Bible.
At the services Mrs. Jane Bardo was organist and Mrs. Val DeGroot sang, "The Lord's Prayer".
When Mr. Ellis retired after 33 years in the theatre business he was called "One of Warren's best known businessmen" by the Warren newspaper. He was also cited for his numerous civic activities. The same article says, "Recognition and honor was brought to the city of Warren by Ellis in 1936 when he was chosen as first place winner in the national 'Packard Swingtime' theatre contest. More than 1,800 contestants participated in the contest."
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Richard G. Pfister of Lusk and Mrs. C. J. Devine of Norfolk, VA.; one son, Robert of Burbank, Calif. Another son, Dr. Paul is deceased.
