Funeral for Roylyn Elder Held in Douglas
Funeral service was held at the Lapham Mortuary in Douglas September 21 for Roylyn Alice Elder who died September 18.
The Rev. Stepan of the Calvary Baptist Church conducted the service with Mrs. Shirley Reed and Mrs. Leonard Chamberlain singing "We'll Never Say Goodbye", "Sweet Bye and Bye" and "We'll Never Grow Old" accompanied by Mrs. Stepan. Burial was in the family plot in Douglas.
Casket Bearers were Ivan Eddy, Larry Eddy, Clarence Mason, Wilbur Wright, Loyd Bennett and Charles Reese.
Roylyn Elder lived in the Keeline area for 13 years and attended the Keeline school three years. She was born in Denver, October 19, 1937, and was the foster daughter of Emma V. and the late Roy F. Elder.
She was admitted to the State Training School in Lander November 1952, and lived there until her death.
She is survived by her mother, Emma Elder, of Torrington, a brother, Quentin, niece Patti and two nephews, Tony and Quentin Jr. of Fayetteville, Ga.
