Richard Lyle Eddy

Memorial service for Lyle Eddy was held here last Thursday. He died in a Gillette hospital December 13.

Richard Lyle Eddy was born March 7, 1935, eight miles northwest of Keeline. He was the son of Joseph and Charlotte Coleman Eddy.

He attended school at Keeline and graduated from Lusk High School. He worked as a seismographer for several years at a number of Wyoming locations. For about 12 years he was employed by the Niobrara Electric Association in Lusk. He then worked for a power company in Chicago for about a year. Upon his return to Lusk he was employed by Claude Redding as a bartender. He then moved to Casper to Work for White Ditching until he went to work for Belle Fourche Pipe Line Co. as a pumper and gauger. He was transferred to North Dakota for three years and had recently moved to Gillette.

He was married to Bonita Keiver and they were the parents of five children.

The Rev. Lawrence Kelley officiated at the funeral at Peet Mortuary Chapel. Music was proved by Minera Watson, organist; and Joy Kaltenheuser who sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden."

Active pallbearers were Claude Redding, Phil Brewster, Vern Modine, Max Willard, Randy Materi and Dick Hayman.

Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by one son, one daughter, his parents, two brothers, and one sister.

He is survived by sons Calvin of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Phillip stationed in the Philippines with the U.S. navy; a daughter Robin of Washington; 3 brothers Larry of Keeline, Edgar of Talent, Ore. and Herbert of Casper, sisters: Laura Phillips of San Mateo, Calif., and Emma Rustad of Prescott, Ariz.
