Mrs. Delahoyde, 80, Dies May 2 in Casper
Mrs. Sadie Delahoyde, 80, of Douglas, a former resident of Lusk, died May 2 in Casper following a long illness.
Funeral services were held May 4 at Douglas. The Rev. Clyde Thompson officiated at the services held from the First Baptist Church.
Sadie Messenger Delahoyde was born November 13, 1886 at Rock Creek Station, Wyoming (later called Rock River), to Charles and Mary Messenger. She was married to William Delahoyde at Lusk, in 1922. They operated places of business there until in 1927, moving to Thermopolis. In 1928 they bought the LaBonte Hotel in Douglas which they operated until he retired from poor health. He died in 1944.
Mrs. Delahoyde was survived by a sister, Mrs. Esther Colwell of Douglas, who died the following Sunday, May 8 in her sleep.
