Frank Ladwig, 62, died of an accident from cleaning some guns in Arizona.

He was born to Richard and Mildred Ladwig in Lusk, WY., February 15, 1956. Frank went to grade school in Manville, WY and high school in Lusk, WY. Frank was well known for weight lifting. He won trophy after trophy. Frank was also well known for being on the wrestling team, he was known as one of the lightest heavyweights in the state.

Frank worked for Mac Jack and several other construction companies. He loved doing dozer work. Frank built many oilfield locations, and stock dams, and roads. He was also called on to make fire breaks during wild fires. He got the nick name CAT MAN DO. He also had the nick name Grizz.

He married Dianna August 7th 2001 on the highest mountain on the ranch. They ran the ranch with his parents for years. They later bought the ranch and took care of his parents for many years on the ranch. They retired in 2014 due to Frank’s severe health problems and started going to Arizona in the winters. He loved Dianna with his whole heart, as she did him. They loved Arizona and planned to stay there year around, for Frank was getting too ill to travel. He loved the fact that him and his girl, Di, got to do their bucket list together, traveling to places he wanted to go, so he was at peace when he passed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew, Brian and a grandson, Gabriel. He is survived by Dianna, two step kids, Paula and Eli, six grandkids: Aliyah, Aidan, Gabriel, Brianna, Ethan and Kylie. Two brothers: Richard and Ray. One Sister: Linda. And many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Frank was not into funerals but told Dianna she could have a party in his will.

Dianna is having a Celebration of Life get together at the Three Sisters on April 21, 2018, in Manville, WY. There will be a pot-luck dinner from 2pm to 6pm; bring your favorite dish and join in. Dianna has hired a band, in honor of their love for 20 years, playing 8pm to midnight.

The accident resulted in extensive medical bills. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to donate may send them to P.O. Box 862, Lusk, WY 82225.
