A. Malm, Former Rancher Here, Dies In Cheyenne Thurs.

Andy R. Maim. 54, prominent stockman of this vicinity for many years, died suddenly in Cheyenne Thursday evening, March 16th.

Mr. Malm had returned to Cheyenne from Kansas just the previous day, and not feeling well had gone to memorial hospital for a check up, when he died suddenly the following day from a heart attack.

He was a native of Wyoming having been born near Albin and held extensive ranching interests in the community, until some 12 years ago he leased the Ord Ranch 16 miles south of Lusk and continued in the stock raising business here and also in Nebraska. He was wintering sheep in Kansas and had been looking after his interests there when he returned to his home in Cheyenne. He moved to that city from Lusk about a year ago.

Mr. Malm was a member of Pine Bluffs' Masonic Lodge No. 32, the Wyoming Consistory, Elks and American Legion.

Funeral services were conducted at the First Church in Cheyenne on Sunday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ralph E. Obbitts of Albin and Rev. George D. White of Cheyenne officiating. Burial was made in the cemetery at Albin.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred, one daughter, Mrs. B.L. Thrasher of Manhatten, Kan.; three brothers, Carl H. and Elmer L., both of Albin, and Harry G. of San Diego, Cal.; one sister, Mrs. L.C. Anderson of San Diego; and one grandson, Michael Thrasher.

John W. Agnew and Mrs. Jeanete Sager were among those from this community attending the services.
