Eunice Mae (Adams) Miller

Eunice Mae (Adams) Miller of Van Tassell, Wy., was born in rural Sioux County, Nebraska on October 1, 1934 to Lawrence and Edna Adams. Eunice passed away May 23, 2001.

Her parents, and her two sisters, Joy Adams Buckley and Janice Edith Adams, preceded her in death.

She is survived by two brothers, Lloyd Adams of Van Tassell, and Joseph Adams of Bruno, Ark., four sons; David of Cody, Phillip of Wheatland, Gerry of Gillette, and Mark of Manville, along with eight grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Eunice worked for the Niobrara County School District from 1977 to 1990. She volunteered at Helpmate Crisis Center for 17 years as well as seven years at Diversified Services. She served as dietitian of the Lions Camp for the Blind for five years. Eunice was active in the 4-H program as a child and later as an adult leader.

For many years she baked and decorated wedding cakes. Eunice was a person who was always willing to help others whether it be a total stranger in a snowstorm, a close friend needing encouragement, a neighbor needing a hand of friendship, or a relative just needing a touch of love.

She will be missed by many.

Cicmanec-Pier Funeral Home in Lusk was in charge of the arrangements. A memorial has been established to the Helpmate Crisis Center in Lusk.
