Mrs. Kenneth McAllister Dies

The death of Mrs. Kenneth McAllister, age 18, came as a shock to her many friends here. She passed away at the Lusk hospital Thursday, January 20th after a short illness, having been taken to the hospital only the afternoon before her death.

She moved to Lusk with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Coen from Crawford, Nebr., when she was a little girl and has lived in Lusk since that time where she had a large circle of friends.

Services were held from the Church of God, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with the Rev. Trace Decker of Thermopolis officiating.

Music was furnished by F. B. Kuns, Mrs. W. L. Keister, Mrs. C. E. Marvin and Wm. Sherk with Mrs. J. P. Watson presiding as the piano.

The funeral arrangements were in charge of the Peet Mortuary and the pall bearers were Dan Reniecke, Darryl Manring, Robert Bump, Neal Grant, Morris Grant and Virgil Olds.

Burial was made in the Lusk cemetery.


Pauline Coen McAllister was born at Node, Wyo., April 26, 1919 and passed away, January 20th, 1938 at the age of 18 years, 8 months and 25 days. At the age of seven years the family moved to Crawford, Nebr., where they lived for a few years then moved to Lusk where they have since resided.

At the age of 15 she was converted to the Christian faith and later became a member of the Church of God where she has taken an active part in the work of the church among the young people.

On July 16th, 1937 she was united in marriage to Kenneth McAllister at Hot Springs, So. Dak. and returned to Lusk to make their home.

One brother, Glen preceded his sister in death less than two years ago. She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Coen, one sister, Mrs. Pearl Shroyer and four brothers, Gerald, Gorman, Gale and Sammie.
