Irene D. Knight

Services for Irene D. Knight, 64, were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 15, 1996 at the Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington with Reverend David Finley officiating. Burial will be in Valley View Cemetery. Memorial gifts to the Torrington Senior Friendship Center would be appreciated. Irene died at her home on Jan. 10, 1996.

She was born Aug. 10, 1931, the daughter of John and Olive (Reed) DesEnfants, at Scottsbluff, Neb. She grew up and received her education at Torrington. She and John Knight were married in Torrington in 1949 and were later divorced. She lived in Sheridan from 1950 to 1955, when she moved to Lusk, where she was a homemaker and worked with her mother selling Staffer's exercise machines. She moved to Torrington in 1968 where she was a homemaker and cared for elderly people in their homes, as well as caring for her mother.

She was a member of the Episcopal Church and Eastern Star.

She is survived by two daughters, Connie and husband Dick Baker of Lusk, and Ginger Wilson of Montgomery, Ill.; son Charles Knight of Sheridan; mother Olive Poage of Torrington; brother, Jack DesEnfants of Scottsbluff; sisters Joan Harris of Lost Springs and Jeannine Miller of Torrington; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter and her father.
