Father Of Principal Of Lusk Schools Dies Monday In Nebraska
The sad news of the death of Joseph Kuns, aged 74 years, father of Superintendent of Lusk Schools Ford B. Kuns of this city was wired here Monday morning, hardly a day after Mr. and Mrs. Kuns and son had returned from a week's visit at the parental home in Beemer, Nebr.
Deceased had passed away early that morning, following two weeks of serious illness, caused from a ruptured appendix. Because of this condition, an operation was not performed and peritonitis developed soon after, being the direct cause of demise.
Mr. Kuns was a long-time resident of the Beemer country, coming to Nebraska from New York State at an early age. He was a highly respected and beloved man among those who knew him and his passing comes as a sudden shock to relatives and friends here.
Professor Kuns left here Tuesday afternoon for Beemer to attend funeral services which were held yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. Burial was made in the Beemer cemetery.
The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes to Mr. Kuns and his family in this hour of bereavement.
