Heart Attack on Christmas Fatal to Mrs. Cordes

Mrs. Jennie (Jane) Cordes, 69, of Seattle, Wash., died of a heart attack early Christmas morning. Mrs. Cordes suffered the attack Christmas Eve, and was taken to the hospital where she died a few hours later.

Funeral services were held at the Peet Chapel Monday at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. David Becknell of the Manville Community Alliance Church officiating.

Mrs. Emerson Bonner and Mrs. A. F. DeCastro sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Pall bearers were Dale Anderson, Willis Stallman, Clyde Stallman, James Stallman, Charles Vaughan and Bill Welch. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Jennie Bridge, daughter of Frank and Anna Bridge, was born at St. Libory, Nebr., August 7, 1890. She married Herman Cordes in 1915 and they were the parents of two sons, one who died in infancy and Roy of Seattle. In 1916 Mr. and Mrs. Cordes located on a homestead north of Manville. After Mr. Cordes death Mrs. Cordes moved to Manville where she lived until moving to Seattle 18 years ago.

She is survived by her son and a sister, Mrs. Barney Stallman of the Lance Creek Community.
