Funeral service was held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at the Peet Chapel for Mrs. Caroline Burke, 82, who died at Newcastle December 24.

The Rev. Frank Bozart conducted the service with Mrs. J. P. Watson as organist. Mark Lohr sang "In the Garden" and How Great Thou Art".

Honorary pallbearers were Ollie Seaman, Everett Thomas, Dan Jordan, Ted Lohr, Ernest Hales, Bunny Chard and Mike Chard.

Casket bearers were Bill Baker, Lloyd Baker, Raymond Moore, Steve Burke, Homer Moore and Robert Moore. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.

Memorials have been requested for the Senior Center or the Nursing Home Fund.

Caroline Augusta Geike, daughter of August C. and Bertha Holtz Geike was born Feb. 19, 1892, at Lockport, Ill. At an early age she moved with her parents to a homestead 22 miles northwest of Harrison where she grew to womanhood.

September 16, 1908, she was married to John O. Burke and to the couple were born eight children. They moved to a homestead in the Whitman community where they lived until the death of her husband when she moved to Lusk.

She lived in Lusk until the fall of 1971 when she moved to Weston Manor Nursing home at Newcastle. While living in Lusk she became a member of the Open Bible Church. She was a charter member of the Indian Creek Club.

Survivors include four daughters Blanche Wise, Riverton; Nellie Wilkison, Brush, Colo.; Edna Moore, Lusk and Mamie Klitzke, Kenosha, Wisc.; four sons John H., Lusk, Clarence F., Kenosha, Wisc., Melvin E., Blommington, Calif., and Donald R., Casper; one brother Rudolph Geike, Harrison; 29 grandchildren; 54 great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband, parents, three brothers, two sisters, one grandson and one great-granddaughter died previously.

Collins, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Ivan White, Ainsworth, Neb.; Donald Burke, Dave Bookout and mother, Erma Keyser, Erma McLaughlin and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bennett, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moore, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Walters, Mr. and Mrs. Carye Spargur, and Mr. and Mrs. John Hardman, Casper.
