Mrs. Robertson dies in Calif.
Funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. this Wednesday, Nov.5 at the Greenwood Mortuary in San Diego, Calif. for Mrs. Clarence (Bessie) Robertson, who died Monday following an illness of several months. Interment was made in the Greenwood Memorial Park.
Bessie Winifred Estelle Reed was born May 28, 1902 in Goshen County, the youngest daughter of Alice Marie Worthen Reed and Albert Day Reed. She grew to womanhood in this part of the state, receiving her education and graduating from the Lusk High School. She was employed as deputy county clerk of Niobrara county prior to her marriage.
She was married to Clarence Franklin Robertson on July 10, 1936, in Torrington where they made their home until 1939 when the family moved to San Diego. Mr. Robertson was in the contracting business and later owned and operated a bar until just prior to his death in June 1965. She is an aunt of Mrs. Donald (Gloria) Johnson, Lance Creek.
She is survived by a son, William D., Lakeside, Calif.: a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Beeson of San Diego, and four grandchildren.
