Funeral Notice

Memorial services for Carol Jean (Serres) Tanner, 44, of Lusk, will be held Oct. 4 , 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at New Life in Christ Baptist Church with Pastor David Shaner officiating. Carol passed away at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper on Sept. 30, 2014. Memorials may be made to help the family with final expenses. They may be mailed to Sarah Risner, 108 E. 5th St., Lebo, Ks 66856.

A full obituary will be published at a later date.

Pier Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

On Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at 2:07 AM, Carol Tanner left this earth after fighting a long, hard battle with diabetes.

Carol came into this world on September 9, 1970 in Chadron, Nebraska to Bob and Loretta (Quintard) Serres.

Carol was a talented, bright, and beautiful woman who loved people and life. She found great joy in reading and cooking and baking for her loved ones. She cherished spending time with those she cared about and would do anything for a friend. Carol spent the last 12 years of her life with her beloved Johnny "P" Perrin who took great care of her.

Carol is survived by her daughter Sarah (Joshua) Risner, grandsons Domonic, Rayden, and Christian Risner, life companion Johnny "P" Perrin, sisters Sandra Serres and Renee Serres McElroy, brother Cory Serres, and aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Loretta Serres and two infant brothers.

Though she is in the arms of her Savior, she will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew and loved her.

Memorial services were held Sat., Oct. 4, 2014, at New Life in Christ Baptist Church in Lusk.

Memorials can be made to her daughter, Sarah Risner, 108 E. 5th, Lebo, Kansas 66856.
