Father of Mrs. W. W. Edmondson Is Buried at Old Home in Newcastle

James E. Brown, 77 years of age, father of Mrs. W. W. Edmondson of Lusk, passed away at his home in Lusk last Sunday morning at five o'clock. Mr. Brown had been in ill health for some time and for two weeks he had been critically ill, so his death was not altogether unlooked for.

Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved to Lusk four years ago from their ranch near Newcastle, so as to be near their daughter, Mrs. W. W. Edmondson. He had lived on his ranch near Newcastle for about twenty years and was highly respected and had a host of warm friends in that community.

Mr. Brown was born in Oxford County, Ontario, and leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Mrs. Sarah Brown, and three daughters and two sons. The daughters are Mrs. Cora Beach of Flint, Mich.; Mrs. Edna Jessen of Newcastle; Mrs. Mabel F. Edmondson, of Lusk; L. Brown of Flint, Mich.; Fred Brown, Saginaw, Mich., and also several grandchildren and other relatives.

The remains were in charge of the Midwest Mortuary, who had charge of transporting the remains to Newcastle, where funeral services were held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Val Jessen at 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, with Rev. Snyder of the Methodist church of that city officiating.

Burial was made in the Newcastle cemetery.
