Juanette (Brown) Sides
Graveside services for Juanette L. Sides, 89, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at the Lusk Cemetery.
She died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas.
The Gorman Funeral Homes - Converse Chapel of Douglas is in charge of the arrangements.
A memorial to the Humane Society - Lusk Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 390, Lusk, WY 82225, or to the Douglas Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 192, Douglas, WY 82633, would be appreciated by the family.

Juanette Lovell Brown Sides
A graveside service for Juanette Lovell Brown Sides, 89, was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Lusk Cemetery in Lusk, Wyo. with coffee at the Three Sisters Truck Stop following.
Juanette Sides died Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Douglas Care Center in Douglas, Wyoming.
Juanette was born on Aug. 22, 1922 in Cooter, Missouri to Chris and Mattie (Stovall) Brown, being the oldest of five children. After a few years they moved to Steele, Missouri where she attended school. During high school she worked at a drycleaners and in the cotton fields picking cotton, until she married Warren Letchworth of Selmer, Tennessee. They had three children (Wanda, Linda and Gary) over the next several years while living in Wyoming, Utah, Texas and Montana. She had a tremendous work ethic instilled in her by her family and growing up during the depression.
She divorced and moved with her children to Lusk, Wyoming in the early 1950's and worked at the North Side Café. She married Scott Sides in 1954 and they ranched and raised their family north of Lance Creek on the Little Lightening Creek for many years while their children attended Cow Creek School and then Lusk High School. Juanette was a 4-5 Hostess and active member in the Sagebrush Pals Extension Club and Cowbells with her close friends, Faye Traphegan and Pat Rankin. Scott passed away from cancer on October 11, 1974; they were together for twenty years.
In the 1970's she became a grandparent and enjoyed all five of their granddaughters. She continued to live in Lusk until she married Dewey Ellsworth in 1976 and moved to Manville to help build and run their business, The 6 Arrow Truck Stop, for several years. They were divorced in 1980 and Juanette lived in Lusk until she moved to Chadron, Nebraska in 1982 to be closer to her son and his family. She enjoyed living there until 1997 when she moved to Douglas to be near her daughters.
Juanette was a fabulous cook and enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, and spending time with her family and pets.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Clyde and Floyd; sister, Marion; husband, Scott Sides; sons-in-law Rich Pfister, Paul Stoddard and Gordon Gropp.
She was survived by her sister, Betty Sue Parker, of Brandenton, Florida; son, Garbo Letchworth, of Pavillion, Wyoming; daughters, Punk Letchworth (Glenn Burgette) of Pavillion and Juanda Gropp of Douglas; granddaughters, Cali Scott of Omaha, Nebraska, Tia Gropp (Darren) Schmidt of Osceola, Nebraska, Farra (Louis) Cleveland of Pinedale, Wyoming, Katie (Trevor)Knaub of Gering, Nebraska, and Kinsi Tracy of Omaha, Nebraska; and eleven great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Tom Dunlap, Jim Kruse, Stan Rennard, Clyde Peterson, Louis Cleveland, and Glenn Burgette.
