Kendy Joe Rising

Kendy Joe Rising was born on October 23, 1958 to Donna "Dolly" Holtz Rising and Eldon Rising. Since Dolly had Polio, when Kendy was about two years old, Dolly accepted the offer of Durl and Carol Jordan Holtz to raise Kendy and Pam. They were blessed to have a very large family because of the two intertwined families. In his younger years he spent many wonderful times at the Jordan and Holtz ranches. He loved horses, cows, and spending time in the great outdoors. He was particularly fond of a horse by the name of Serfer Joe. Kendy graduated from Niobrara County High School in 1977. Kendy was married to Sonia J. Ross and to this union Kasey was born. Later he married Lynn Rising, he helped her raise Kim and George Pelton and they adopted Cheyenne.

Kendy had a strong work ethic that led him to meet his life partner Janice "Janis" Simpson. He resided in Carlton, Oregon at the time of his death. He was employed by Seubert Excavators for many years.

Kendy is survived by Janice "Janis" Simpson, Carlton, Oregon; son Kasey Joe Rising and daughter Cheyenne Elizabeth Rising both of Casper, WY; sisters Jody (Joe) Krajewski, Grant, NE; Cathy Publow, Scottsbluff, NE; Pam Rising (Ed Tiede), Lenore, ID; and Shelly (Doug) Heeden, Falcon Heights, MN; brothers Allan (Brenda) Rising and Randy Paul (Kristy) Rising of Torrington, WY; and his uncle Verne Holtz of Scottsbluff, NE.

Cremation has taken place and a service will be held at a later date.
