Mrs. Lake Harris Dies From Injuries Inflicted by Angry Cow
Mrs. Lake Harris, 64, died at 8:00 o'clock Monday morning as the result of being trampled by an angry cow Friday evening, near Jay Em.
Mr. and Mrs. Harris had driven out to the pasture about 6:00 o'clock to bring in a Jersey cow and her new-born calf. When Mr. Harris went to get the calf, the cow wheeled and charged Mrs. Harris, knocked her down and trampled her.
Mr. Harris managed to drive the cow over the hill, but had to go back to the village to get the help of his brother, Art Harris, and his wife and Ernest Benshoof. They got the injured woman in the car and brought her to the Spencer Hospital in Lusk.
Funeral services are being held in Jay Em this Thursday afternoon and burial will be made in the cemetery there.
