Anna L. Redifer

Services for Anna L. Redifer, 86, of Torrington were held at the First United Methodist Church in Torrington on March 21, 1988. Reverend Robert Sewell officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery. She died March 17 at the Scottsbluff hospital.

She was born March 1, 1902 at Weston, NE, the daughter of Anton and Louisa (Armburst) Fisher. In 1913 the family moved to a homestead near Van Tassell where she received her education. She marrried Gilbert "Ed" Redifer on March 2, 1922 in Crookston, NE> The couple resided there until 1927 when they returned to the Van Tassell area where they farmed and ranched. They retired to Torrington in 1974.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary Ferdinand Brandstetter Post #1 in Van Tassell, the Goshen County Cowbelles and the Help-One-Another Community Club.

She is survived by her husband, Gilbert of Torrington; one daughter, Louise I. Torrance of Torrington and one son, Donald E. Redifer of Stafford, TX; three sisters, Clara Heller of Casper, Rose Kenyon of Monterey, CA and Margaret Morton of Fremont, NE: two brothers, Albert Fisher of Ft. Laramie and William Fisher of Hot Springs, SD; five grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

The Colyer Funeal Home was in charge of the arrangements.
