Elouise Pate passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at the age of 92 at the Niobrara County Health and Life Center in Lusk, WY.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thurs., Dec. 18, 2008, at the Lusk Cemetery with Pastor Mark Lohr officiating, with a coffee to follow at the Lusk Senior Center.
Elouise was born March 11, 1916 in Red Willow County, Nebraska to Horace and Blanche Taylor. She was one of four children. On March 11, 1939 she married Oliver (Tod) Pate and they were the parents of three girls, Gloria, Carolyn and Judy. In 1947 they moved to the Lusk area and resided there for the rest of their lives. Elouise worked many years at the Ben Franklin Store and then later at the Coast to Coast Store. One of her favorite things to do was to go for a Sunday drive.
Elouise was preceded in death by her husband Tod, her parents, two brothers, and one sister. She is survived by her three daughters, Gloria (Andy) Nelson of Manville, WY, Carolyn (Irv) Skillings of Tucson, AZ and Judy (Bob) Ruffing of Powell, WY. She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Tod Nelson, Lusk, WY, Rod Nelson, Lusk, WY, Richard Skillings, Oracle, AZ, Deb Dryer, Wright, WY, Lori Holloman, Fortuna, CA and Brian Ruffing, Las Vegas, NV. She also leaves behind 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 18th at the Lusk Cemetery with a coffee to follow at the Lusk Senior Center. Donations may be made to the Niobrara County Health and Life Center, Lusk, WY or to the charity of your choice.
