Lois Bone

Funeral services for Lois Bone, age 64, were held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 28 at the Bader Funeral Home in Lusk with Reverend Don Chanslor of the Congregational Church officiating. Burial followed in the Lusk Cemetery.

Lois died Tuesday, March 24 at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebr. She was born Jan. 31, 1934 in Ft. Collins, Colo., the daughter of Herbert and Etta Spain. She grew up in Kansas and attended school there. She was active in school activities, secretary of the senior class, member of the girl's glee club and pep club. She graduated from Mulvane High School in 1951.

Lois moved to Wyoming in 1952 with her mother and stepfather. She married Donald Bone on July 12, 1953. They made their home at their ranch southwest of Lusk. While raising their children and helping with the ranch, Lois worked at the Lusk Cold Storage, Lusk Liquor Store and worked as a housekeeper for various people in Lusk.

Lois enjoyed reading, flower gardens, dancing and her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Herbert Spain.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Donald; her three children, Teresa Freeman of Erie, Colo., Larry Bone of Lusk and Sandra Buckley of Harrison, Nebr.; three grandchildren, Scott Freeman of Phoenix, Ariz., Angela Freeman of Erie, Colo, and Nickolas Buckley of Harrison, Nebr.; three step-children, Penny Almond of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., Dan Mundlein of Laramie and Mark Mundlein of Kennebec, S. Dak.; one great grandson, Cameron Freeman of Phoenix, Ariz., her mother Etta Parsons of Cottonwood Falls, Kans., one brother, Herbert Spain, Jr. of Strong City, Kans. and one sister, Karen Linsea of Hutchinson, Kans.

For those who wish, memorials to the Lusk/Niobrara Ambulance Service would be appreciated by the family.

Bader Funeral Home of Lusk was in charge of arrangements.
