Funeral for Mrs. Bessie Bishop Held Here Thurs.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie M. Bishop, 76, were held at the Peet Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Theodore Foster officiating. Mrs. H. J. Templeton, soloist, sang "I love You Truly," and "My Rosary." Mrs. J. P. Watson was organist. Pallbearers were; Percy Beagle of Scottsbluff, M.H. Wilhermsdorfer of Casper, Harry Fernau, Sr., M. S. Jordan, John Jassman, and Ray Baughn. Burial was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Bessie Mabel Miller was born in Valentine, Nebr., April 5, 1885, the daughter of Henry and Ida Francis Miller. In 1904 she married John Maynard Bishop and they were the parents of one daughter, Leta D. Bishop. In 1920 they came to Lusk and have continued to make their home here. Mr. Bishop died in 1941. Mrs. Bishop died in the Spencer Hospital April 18 after a stroke, but had been ill for a long time.
Survivors include her daughter, Leta, and a brother, George L. Miller both of Lusk.

Mrs. Bessie M. Bishop, a resident (of) Lusk since 1920, died in the Spencer Hospital Tuesday evening of complications after a stroke. She had been taken to the hospital just a few hours before her death.
Funeral services will be held at the Peet Chapel Saturday afternoon. The family has requested that memorial donations be given to the National Foundation (polio).
