Gerald Sullivan Dies From Auto Accident Injuries

Gerald Sullivan, 41, of Manville died September 16 in the Gillette Hospital from injuries received in an auto addident near Gillette. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. from Peet Chapel with Rev. David Becknell of the Manville Community Church and Rev. May of Holyoke, Colo. officiating. Burial was in the Manville Cemetery.

Rev. May was Gerald's boyhood playmate and lifetime friend.

Mrs. Otha B. Holcomb and Mrs. Carl Peterson sang "In the Garden" and "Nearer My God To Thee". Mrs. J.P. Watson was organist.

Pallbearers were Leonard Garhart, Ernest Garhart, Clarence Nordin, Art Ferris, Aaron Frye and Neil Grant.

Gerald John Sullivan was born near Petersburg, Nebr., June 8, 1917. He moved to Wyoming with his parents in 1918 and spent the greater part of his life in Wyoming. He served six years with the armed forces during World War II.

June 24, 1947 he married Genevieve May. Survivors include his four children, Anita, Ronald, Robert and Gerald. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sullivan of Manville; two brothers, Frank of Lander and Harlan of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. Kenneth Wynne, Harrisburg, Nebr., Mrs. Mason Cassel, Laramie, and Mrs. Vern Garhart also survive.

Relatives here for the services include Anita, Ronald, Robert and Gerald Sullivan, Derby, Colo.; Harlan Sullivan and Myron, Sacramento, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Wynne and Sharon, Harrisburg, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Mason Cassel, Paula and Teresa, Laramie; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barrett, Rhonda and Billie, Miss Arlene Garhart, Denver; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Canaday, Chadron; Mr. and Mrs. Less Sullivan, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. John Fink, Pavilion; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Sullivan and Sharon, Rawlins; Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Sutherland and Mrs. Jim Haddix, Bushnell, Nebr.; Mr. and Mrs. Alvert Peterson, Kimball and Leo Lockwood, Dix, Nebr.
