Florence Anna "Dee" Beyers
Services for Florence Anna "Dee" Beyers, 76, were conducted Wednesday (today), Nov. 28, 1990, at 11:30 a.m. at Memorial Chapel in Casper by Rev. John Seagraves of the Church of Christ.
Beyers died Nov. 24, 1990 at Wyoming Medical Center.
Born Feb. 12, 1914, at Sacred Heart (near Konawa, Okla.) she was the daughter of Joseph Piece and Catharine (Bennett) Curley.
She was a Citizen Band Potawatomi Native American and she moved to Bairoil, Wyo. in 1914 from Konawa, Okla. She moved to Glenrock in 1949 and to Evansville in 1974.
On Sept. 19, 1936, she married Floyd Lee Shaw in Konawa, Okla. He preceded her in death. She was married to Lewis Beyers on Sept. 30, 1960, in Juarez, Mexico.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her yard and garden, and was an avid fisherman. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Casper.
Survivors include her husband, Lewis, a former Niobrara County resident; one son, Howard Lee Shaw Sr. of Casper; one daughter, Kathryn D. Lesher, of Glenrock, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; three brothers, Andrew Curley, Robert Curley, and Baptist Curley; and three sisters, Mary Cavendar, Theresa Long and Margaret Smith.
Memorials to Blue Envelope Heart Fund would be appreciated by the family.
