Barbara Dee Crouse
Funeral services for Barbara Dee Crouse were held in Lusk on March 19, 2007 at the First Baptist Church. Tom Strock officiated. Interment was held at the Lusk Cemetery followed by a luncheon where friends and family shared wonderful memories of Barbara. Barbara Dee Crouse died at the young age of 64.
She was born in Imperial, Neb. on July 12, 1942 to Kenneth Steven & Vivian Arlene (Cain) Hockman. She graduated from Red Willow High School. After her first marriage she returned to McCook, Neb., where she worked in the Assessors Office at the county Court House. She raised her two daughters there until her marriage to Delbert Dean Crouse. They were married on July 3, 1973 and moved to Lusk. Her accomplishments were humble ones. She was a housewife, mother and friend to many. She worked at the Stagecoach Museum and attended the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her four children, Lois Foster, 43, from Midlothian, TX; Robin Barnes, 41, from Denver; Dawn Kemnitz, 32, from Burns; Dustin Crouse, 26, from Lusk; five granddaughters; two brothers, Robert S. Hockman of Hawley, TX; Russell L. Hockman of Monroe, Ga.; and her Aunt Lois Cain of McCook, Neb. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Del Crouse and her parents.
Contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Barbara Crouse. Cicmanec- Pier Funeral Home in Lusk was in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be sent to Cicmanec-Pier, Box 569, Lusk, WY 82225.
