Merton H. Wilson

Merton H. Wilson, 71, of Cody died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 1986, at West Park Long Term Care Center.

Graveside services were held Friday, Aug. 22 at Riverside Cemetery in Cody.

Mr. Wilson was born in Lusk on April 21, 1915. He was the son of Ray and Iva (Fenner) Wilson.

On March 25, 1933, he married Grace Anderson in Hot Springs, S. D.

A resident of Casper for 25 years, Mr. Wilson moved to Cody in 1985 to be near his daughters. He retired in 1978 from his nearly life-long career as an oil field driller. His job took him to Libya, where he worked for 13 years.

He served the Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, who died July 3, 1986. Survivors include two daughters, Roberta Brus and Phyllis Barnhart, both of Cody; one son, Wesley Wilson, Norforlk, VA; two sisters, Gertrude Ruffing of Lusk and Emma Fillerup of Torrington; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
