Paul Sullivan Dies Monday

Funeral service was held at 11:00 a.m. this Wednesday at the Missionary Alliance Church in Manville for Paul Sullivan, 86, who died Monday at the Niobrara Hospital in Lusk. The Peet Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.

Pastor Lee Williams conducted the service with Mrs. Emma Richards playing the piano. "The Last Mile of the Way" and "When They Ring Them Golden Bells" was sung by Barbara Garhart of Osage.

Honorary pall bearers were Richard and Scott Hudson, grandsons of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Enos Lee, George Mundschenk, Otto Krekeler, Alvin Alexander, Fred Sheaman, J. P. Watson and Bill Ploff.

Casket Bearers, all grandsons of Mr. Sullivan, were Roger Wynne, Lloyd May and Robert Harvey all of Harrisburg, Neb.; Allen Heins, Keeline; Vern Arends and Bill Barrett of Commerce City, Colo. Burial was in the Manville Cemetery.

Paul Lockwood Sullivan was born September 15, 1888, the son of Frank W. and Alfreda Paul Sullivan at Petersberg, Neb. He moved to Wyoming in 1918 after attending school at Petersberg and homesteaded southwest of Lusk.

In 1921 he began farming at various places in Niobrara and Converse counties. In the fall of 1929 he moved to Kimball County, Neb., where he lived until he moved to Manville in 1956. He moved to Pine Bluffs in 1970 and in May of 1972 moved to Utah to live with a daughter. He came back to Lusk October 30 entering the Nursing Home wing of the Niobrara Hospital.

He was married to Marcia Ellen Sutherland Oct. 10, 1911, at Petersberg. He was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church at Manville.

He is survived by three daughters, Evelyn Garhart, Commerce City, Colo., Leola Wynne, Harrisburg, Neb., and Verla Chadwick, Pleasant Grove, Utah; one sister Susie Fink, Pavillion; one brother Henry Sullivan, Rawlins; 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

His wife, parents, two brothers and six sons died previously.
