Last Rites Held For Rose Serres

Miss Rose Theresa Serres, 77, died January 18 at the Bel Air Manor rest home in Gering.

Funeral service was January 22 at Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Crawford with Father Hargarten officiating. Burial was at Montrose Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Wickersham, George Wasserburger, George Staudenmaier, Gary McMeekin, Richard Serres and Floyd Serres.

Miss Serres was born January 9, 1896, at the ranch in Sioux County. She lived in north Sioux County, Ardmore, Hot Springs, and Crawford areas.

She was employed for some time at the Sisters Hospital in Hot Springs.

She is survived by two brothers, E.J. (Jim) of Harrison and Jack of Sturgis, S.D., and one sister, Leona Zurn of Ponderosa Villa in Crawford.

Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Serres, and three sisters, Emma O'Conell, Hattie Gayheart, and Elizabeth Konrath, died previously.
