Services for Mildred Vera Rymill, 103, were held June 13, 2002 in Boulder, Colo.

Mildred Rymill died June 9, 2002 in Boulder. She was born Feb. 16, 1899, to Harry A. and Lottie M. (William) Robbins on their ranch near Ogallala, Neb.

She attended country school in Nebraska, high school in Ventura, Calif., and the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

She married Walter L. Rymill of Lusk in 1922 and resided on their cattle and horse ranch south of Lusk. One of the horses they raised went on to fame as Roy Rogers' "Trigger".

She was a homemaker but had many other interests. She was a 4-H leader and president of the Royal Valley Extension Club.

After her husband's death in 1945, the family moved to Boulder. She was president of the Boulder Women's Republican Club four terms; Republican State Program planning chairman two years; and worked in other divisions of the Republican Party. She was president of the Northern District Federation Women's Club; president of the original Boulder Business and Professional Women's Club for four terms; a 50 year member of Queen Esther Chapter of Eastern Star; and is listed in "Who's Who of American Women" Third Edition.

Survivors include a son, Walter L Rymill of Boulder; a daughter Shirley L. Blake of Vashon, Wash.; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte G. Curley; a grandson; and a great-grandson.

She requested contributions be made in her name to the Humane Society of Boulder Valley, 2323 55th Street, Boulder, CO, 80301.
