Alex Frosheiser Dies at 93
Alexander Frosheiser, age 93 of Torrington, died at the East Wing of Goshen County Memorial Hospital Friday, Aug. 17, at about 10: 30 a. m. following a lengthy illness.
Funeral service was held in Lusk at 11:00 Monday morning at the Peet Chapel. Pastor George Schubarth of Torrington officiated. "I'm but a Stranger Here" and "I Know That My Redeemer Lives" were sung by Susan Hahn, Debbie Akers, Rob Akers, Robert Doctor, Judy Lange, and Nancy Lange. Organist was Mrs. Sigmund Hahn.
Casket bearers were Mike Mckinnis, Bill Law, Terry Frosheiser, Richard Lenz, Gene Lenz and Harry Brown. Interment was in the Lusk Cemetery.
Mr. Frosheiser was born in Beidek, Russia, November 26, 1879, and was the son of George and Maria "Donis" Frosheiser. He grew up in that area, married Katherine Marie Dreith on March 1, 1905, and came to America. The couple settled in Lincoln, Neb. and he worked for the Burlington Railroad until 1910 when they took a homestead near Keeline. They farmed in the Keeline area until 1949 when they retired and moved to Lusk.
Mrs. Frosheiser died in 1951 and in 1952 Mr. Frosheiser was married to Mrs. Elizabeth Ostermiller at Billings, Mont. She preceded him in death in 1967, and he moved from Billings to Torrington where he has made his home since. He was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Survivors are three sons, Conrad of Cody, George of Newcastle, and Fred of St. Paul, Minn.; three daughters, Mrs. Uno "Marie" Korhonen of Torrington, Mrs. Ralph "Elizabeth" Lingwood of Boulder, Colo.; and Mrs. Earl "Katherine" McKinnis of Newcastle; a sister, Mrs. Henry Spomer of Denver, Colo.; thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. His wives, two daughters, one son, one brother, five sisters and one grandchild preceded him in death.
